If you leave your porch light off, it'll likely fly off. We had one in Orting for a few days. I contacted a bat expert who told me it was likely sick, since it stayed for a few days. But once we realized that maybe the porch light was confusing it and shut it off, it flew away. I like bats!!
You get all kinds of creepy-crawlies, don't you?!! LOL We have bats here, too, but I've never seen one this close up and I hope I never do!
