Saturday night we met friends at Chili's for dinner. We were celebrating Julia's 19th birthday (one day early). The staff came out and sang Happy Birthday to her. They also gave her some free ice cream. Even the people in the back ground cheered her on. LOL.. Today, she left and is on her way to WA to live with my mom and step dad. They came down and picked her up. it was a challenge getting all her stuff into the van. She wants to go to a certain school up there. It is strange, already, not having her here. It was an emotional day and I am exhausted.
I'm glad she had a nice birthday! I hope you are doing ok.
ReplyDeletePraying for you. Must be very hard and strange not having her there. It's okay and normal to grieve this change in your life - go ahead and cry - tears are a gift from God.
ReplyDeleteI'm here for you if you want or need to talk.
God bless you - Julie
I'm happy for her, but I'm sure it's hard on you. Glad you had some fun time with her before she left, and that she has a great place to stay and she's not on her own. :)

I'm sure that is so exciting for her and so hard for you. I just had my own experience with this last week as we had a too brief visit with Seth on his way to boot camp. It's official that he has flown the nest. :( Praying for you!
