Friday my hubby called and invited me over to help him pack up boxes at his office. I enjoyed the idea of spending the day with him, but packing boxes was not really my idea of fun. I am tired of boxes- packing and unpacking things. UGH!! However, he needed help so Brandon and headed over and I packed up some boxes while Brandon helped Daddy throw away heavy chunks of asphalt. Then on Saturday, nine guys from the main office came down and helped them move to the new office. They managed to move all but a few things. Saturday, after daddy got home from the move, we took a walk around our new area (see the pictures below). Sunday was just a normal day church day.
Today a new man started work at my hubby's office. This will allow Mike to stay in the lab and not have to deal with the heat and working on job sites. It also allows the office to bid on more jobs. Up to this point, it's just been my hubby running the office and occasionally the part time secretary would come in to type up reports, file etc. I am glad that he has some help and that he will not be in the heat. The summers are brutal and working outside is miserable. We can't figure out why more jobs are not done in the winter around here!
We are kinda in limbo here about unpacking and moving things into their place. My daughter (she's almost 19) has decided to move to WA and live with my mom and step dad. She wants to have the opportunity to go to a certain school up there. She also wants to be able to have a bigger variety of work opportunities and volunteer opportunties. She wants to work with animals, hopefully in a zoo or wildlife setting. We will miss her and it will be an adjustment. She leaves July 5th. Her room will become my office and our school room (and guest room). So for now, things are just sitting there, unpacked and not in their places, yet. Again, I am tired of boxes!! LOL..
Wow, what a big change and adjustment for you. It sounds nice for her though. I'm sure she'll flourish beautifully out there. It will be nice to have a school room, I miss that here. Though I'm sure you would rather your daughter there than a school room. :)
